Crescent Beach Boardwalk - The Boardwalk nestled along Algoma's lake bank offers residents and visitors a beautiful scenic view of Lake Michigan. The one-half mile of lighted walkway is an invitation for a stroll at any time. Plaques located along the walk provide information on the history of the lakefront and vegetation growing there. This handicapped accessible walk connects the award winning Visitor Center with the Algoma Marina, which further connects to a walkway maintained by the Optimist Club leading west along the Ahnapee River. Grants and private donations funded the Crescent Beach Boardwalk, and construction was completed by volunteer labor using recycled plastic planks and benches. Heritage Park - This park was dedicated at the City's Sesquicentennial in 2001. It is located next to our Marina and has a picnic area and benches. With a beautiful view of the lake and harbor area it's a great place to take pictures. There is also playground equipment provided. Click Here for a City Map Featuring Parks
Perry Field - Located on Steele Street two blocs from downtown, this park provides a much used baseball diamond and is the home of Algoma High School and Grade School football games. The park sports a tennis and basketball court and playground equipment. It is the site of the summer arts and crafts programs and the youth recreational activities. Legion Park - This park hosts Algoma's biggest annual celebration, "Shanty Days". It is located on the shores of Lake Michigan and provides one of the most panoramic views in the entire City. The park is primarily used for picnics. Click Here for a City Map Featuring Parks
Peterson Park - Located at the north end of Fourth Street. Peterson Park is the home of summer softball and provides a shelter for picnics and parties. It also has playground equipment and a huge slide. The park offers a hilly area for winter activities. It also has a disc golf course to enjoy during the summer. The Little Park - This little (thus the name) park located on the corner of Frank and Clark Streets under Algoma's landmark water tower offers playground equipment for the very young and a quiet place to relax for adults. Now the landmark water tower has been removed but the park still exist. Click Here for a City Map Featuring Parks
Olson Park - This park located northwest of Algoma on Hwy 42. It is used for semi-trailer parking for residents who are in the trucking business. The launching ramps are not in use at this time because of low waters. Click Here for a City Map Featuring Parks
Richmond Park - Located at the Second Street Bridge approach and at the end of the Harbor Walkway, Algoma's newest and smallest park is also the prettiest. With a multitude of flowers adding color to the landscaped area, it offers a restful spot to picnic or watch the water traffic. Click Here for a City Map Featuring Parks
DeMeuse Park - DeMeuse Park is located at the end of Sixth Street and on the shores of the Ahnapee River. It is dedicated in honor of Orville "Baggie" DeMeuse in 2006. It has picnic tables and a peaceful place to watch water traffic or fish along the Ahnapee River. Click Here for a City Map Featuring Parks
Newman Park - Newman Park is a two block area bordered by Division, Steele and Navarino Streets. One area is used as a skating rink during the winter and the other is a picnic area. Click Here for a City Map Featuring Parks
