CRESCENT BEACH BOARDWALK
|
|
| The Boardwalk nestled along
Algoma's lake bank offers residents and visitors a beautiful scenic view
of Lake Michigan. The one-half mile of lighted walkway is an invitation
for a stroll at any time. Plaques located along the walk provide
information on the history of the lakefront and vegetation growing there.
This handicapped accessible walk |
| connects the award winning Visitor Center with the
Algoma Marina, which further connects to a walkway maintained by the Optimist Club leading
west along the Ahnapee River. Grants and private donations funded the
Crescent Beach Boardwalk, and construction was completed by volunteer
labor using recycled plastic planks and benches.
